Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text of Jane Austen's beloved novel with all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie action. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton—and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she's soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers—and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead.

AIRPOD air purifier.
If you've ever shopped for an air purifier, you'll know EXACTLY how hideous they can be. The nicer designs cost a forture. This one is pretty sweet, compact and not horrifically expensive.

Walking To Jericho photo prints.
I'm still constantly amazed by the cool art to be found on Etsy. These very cool prints are available in small and large formats.
Hello, my name is Fiona, I like the look of old tin prints and hand colored B&W's. While I enjoy the flexibilty of modern cameras, I still hang out with a polaroid or holga for fun.

Saturday photo tip
During the next 6 weeks or so while things are still a bit quiet on the photography front, I thought I might share a few photo tips here and there! Below is an image I shot late last month of my husband's brother and his wife the day little Elisha was born. This is straight out of the camera (SOOC).
The way I got this shot with this warm yummy glow (no flash) is by taking advantage of what we had to work with in the hospital room! It happened to be about 4 or 5 in the afternoon and the sun was low in the sky, shining right in their window. We just took the hospital curtain and whipped it around on the track so it was behind me, opposite the window and bouncing that beautiful golden hour light right on the happy little family.
You may not have a hospital curtain, but light-colored buildings and even sidewalks have been effective at bouncing light -- you just have to start looking for light a little creatively!
Congrats again, Stephen and Rachel! We can't wait to see the person that Elisha grows up to be!

Post Card Aeroplane.
Excellent for kids and grown-ups who are just big kids, it's made from balsa wood and the pieces easily pop out to form your very own loop-de-loop, flying glider. It's much more fun than ordinary mail and once you write a little message on it, it becomes post with a bit more love and personality. Don't forget to send it by ‘air mail' though, get it? Air? Because it's a plane and it flies through the air!
SUCK UK - Post Card Aeroplane
p.s. I just wish it didn't have their logo on it. I love their products, but hate their name.

Evah Fan's Chop Chop Jumbo Postcard.
I love Evah Fan.
This 6" X 8" satin finish postcard is printed with soy-based VOC-free inks. It’s a dream come true for those of us that try to cram whole manuscripts onto the backs of postcards. These are also lovely both back and front and could go on the wall as well.

I'm Back!
After a wonderfully restful Christmas which included a visit to my parents’ home, and a major office reno, I’m back at it! I apologize for the lack of presence on the blog!
December was busy collaborating with my 2008 brides on final album edits, then during the first couple weeks’ of 2009 my office redo would get wonderful breaks when the FedEx man arrived with new album after new album. It’s been fun to see everyone again to deliver their gorgeous books. Now, I just need to think of an excuse to see them all again!
Well, the paint is dry, the boxes unpacked, my husband’s tools put away, and I’ve been working on plans for 2009. I’ll be adding a few new bits and pieces to my web page and creating a few more handy documents for clients to make preparing for their photography session a breeze!
I promise I won’t go so long between posting! Enjoy the beautiful snow!

Best credit card ever?
JANUARY 16--What's in your wallet? Well, for a couple of days this week, the billfold of an Oklahoma man contained a Capital One credit card bearing the iconic Nick Nolte mug shot. Taking advantage of the bank's offer to personalize your plastic with a favorite photo, David Mackie, a 35-year-old salesman, recently went online and submitted a card design featuring the disheveled actor's September 2002 booking photo.

(I think I posted an art exhibit similar to this awhile ago. Regardless - I love the concept and the execution of this one. Very cool. (Definitely not something for cat owners.)

Milky Way Transit Authority
(Click the pic to embiggen.)
Our galaxy is unimaginably vast, and we really have no idea what is out there. We are discovering new planets in other star systems all the time, learning new facts about the galactic core, and even learning about whole new portions of the galaxy. This map is an attempt to approach our galaxy with a bit more familiarity than usual and get people thinking about long-term possibilities in outer space.

Bag of Money.
This made me giggle.
We could all use a bag of money these days and so we present this handy Money Bag. Although it does not come with any actual money inside, we love the versatility of this bag and have already found many uses for it around the home such as door stopper, decorative table centerpiece, dream pillow, ..and of course the best use of all...to hold all our loose change! Bags are made of canvas and measures approximately 17" tall.

TiltShiftMaker.
This little online tool is completely addictive. I've miniaturized almost all of my friends, as well as nearly every place I've ever visited. Seriously. I can't stop.
BEFORE – okay, but a little boring:
(recognize this one, Martina?)
AFTER – miniature and awesome!
