A Life in Levitation by Natsumi Hayashi

Natsumi Hayashi

Natsumi Hayashi is a sweet-looking Japanese girl who, one day, decided to take self-portraits..of herself levitating. The surreal scenes are achieved by setting up her SLR camera and waiting for the perfect time to jump. The photos which are taken at exactly the right moment show Natsumi simply levitating in her surroundings. Natsumi hopes that these photos can act as a form of release for when people are having stressful days.

Self Portrait Photography by Sue Anna Joe

Sue Anna Joe

Sue Anna Joe was born in 1982. While growing up she was always involved with the arts; she liked to draw, write poetry, and was involved in the theater.

In 2003, she picked up her first digital camera. She started taking self-portraits and it was during this experimenting stage that she fell in love with photography. She found that photography was the perfect tool for self-expression.

Portrait Photography by Jacqueline Roberts

Jacqueline Roberts is a self taught portrait photographer. Inspired by her own children and the work of classic artists, her recent work has focused on offering a different view on the way that children are portrayed in contemporary media and society.

After receiving positive feedback of the work she shared in on-line communities, Jacqueline has been inspired to take further steps in her photography career. In 2009, Jacqueline entered and won two prestigious international photography competitions, Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) and International Photography Award (New York). Her first public exhibition has just taken place at the offices of the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg.
