Wedding Photographers Wakefield

Wedding photography Wakefield Cathedral - Wedding photography Walton Hall - Caroline and Michael - 18 September 2010

Our second wedding of the weekend saw us join Caroline at her parents' house in Wakefield as she and the girls got ready.  Her gorgeous wedding dress was hanging in the bedroom and her perfume bottle made us smile - it was very appropriate.  Caroline's make-up artist and hair stylist were still busy pampering her when we had to leave for Wakefield Cathedral to meet up with the boys.  We kept Mike and his attendants occupied for a few minutes, taking his mind of any pre-ceremony jitters.  A new wedding venue for us and after a quick chat with the lovely vicar, we were delighted to have free reign to photograph the wedding ceremony from the front and from the back.  Caroline was expertly chauffeured to the cathedral with her proud dad by Robert Hepworth in an elegant, classic Rolls Royce, courtesy of Rolls Hire.  We love their cars!!  As always, it was a pleasure to work with Robert again, as he always does everything he can to help us get some good shots of the couple with the car.  Following a beautiful wedding ceremony, the newly married Mr and Mrs Rochford exited the cathedral, had a few group photographs taken and were showered with confetti.  The couple and their guests mingled for a while before travelling to Waterton Park for the wedding reception.  The weather was breezy and the threat of rain did hang ominously over the proceedings but we managed to capture the remaining group shots that the couple had requested, along with some beautiful images of Caroline and Mike together around the grounds of Walton Hall with its fabulous backdrops for wedding photographs, without getting wet!  After the wedding breakfast and speeches, heavy rain had decided to make an appearance so we spent some time with the couple taking some romantic shots and bridal portraits on the staircase - the ideal location to show off Caroline's dress with its long train.  She looked beautiful.  After capturing the couple's first dance, we couldn't leave without taking a few photographs as Caroline partied with her sister, Liz.  Caroline and Mike are now on honeymoon and Caroline has the job of editing her own wedding video when they come back!  Thank you for choosing us to capture your special day.

Wedding photographer Waterton Park, Walton, Wakefield

Wedding photography at Waterton Park and Walton Hall for Sarah and Thomas on 3 July 2010

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be invited to capture the wedding celebrations of Sarah as she married Tom in a civil ceremony at Waterton Park, followed by a reception over the bridge at Walton Hall.  We'd really been looking forward to their big day!

Arriving at Waterton Park early, we were greeted by our beautiful bubbly bride and a couple of other familiar faces - bridesmaid Emma, who is getting married next month and bridesmaid Katherine, who very kindly recommended us to Sarah.  Sarah and Emma have been planning their weddings together, sharing ideas and visiting wedding fairs, stopping off to see us on more than one occasion.  Seeing their happy, smiling faces and chatting about their plans has been wonderful.

So, there was a lot of activity as well as a lot of laughter in the room as the girls got ready.  Sarah had treated herself to some very special shoes - wow!  They were something of a talking point amongst the female guests!

We were let into a secret.  Sarah had a bit of a surprise up her sleeve for Tom - she'd hired special car and a lady chauffeur so that Tom could arrive in style.

After completing the photographs of the boys, we returned to Sarah where we captured a few shots as her gorgeous dress was laced up, before she made her way downstairs on the arm of proud grandad, Billy, who accompanied her up the aisle to join her husband to be.

After the ceremony and confetti, everyone made the short journey over the bridge to enjoy the drinks reception whilst we completed the group photographs.

After the wedding breakfast and speeches, the bridal party joined us outside for some fun.  Guys, you were stars!

We were really looking forward to working with Sarah and Tom to create some special images for them after the wedding breakfast and it has to be said, they were an absolute joy to work with.  Sarah's beautiful smile shone all day and the couple's happy personalities and enthusiasm for their photographs was infectious. We loved the time we spent with them.

It was still daylight when the new Mr and Mrs Cass took to the dance floor.  A fantastic day, a lovely venue and the most amazing couple who are just made for eachother.  Thank you so much Sarah and Tom for giving us the opportunity to capture your special day.
